I would like the chance to go for trials also, not that I rate myself, but if I was given the opportunity then like a few of the other guys would love to play a higher standard..

It's at home, Ian's said it in his post. Anyway - I'm equally keen to get involved in County, so if there is ever a time where ur some players short and you get so desparate that you will let your own Gran play... think of me please I know I could scrape a win against most peoples Gran off levels best of 10

Well done to Ian Norris for winning Man of the Match at today's match in the mens 'A' category, and to the 'A' and 'B' teams for winning their matches.

Youth team Lost 17-27, but dropped 9 frames from the start due to both being short and the lateness of a player.
Ladies lost 15-29 I think.

Thanks for comments guys. Richard Wharton got 4/4 too. Since the County finals (which he was 1 of our best players) Mr "W" is now a force. Well done mate! I must admit I was a little fortunate with my first frame when the guy cleared from the break and potted black and white. Yesterday was testiment that we are still a major force without the so called "better players." Well done to Rob Cork 2/4 and Dom Cobley 3/4 who showed some steady play and are improving fast. Jof is also showing that he is steadily improving and has lost some of the cockiness (or controlling it) which may have stunted his advance in the game. We did not have Our best team on paper but i'll take this team any day over the last years, if only on raw talent and commitment. We always need raw desire and ability with the mix of experience. A good solid performance well done to all. Looking forward to the trials... With the likes of Michael O'Boyle and Adam from the Rathmore alone looking to get involved, plus others around the league, It should be a hell of a County team next year. Keep the standards moving forward!! Never accept the standard you are at. keep pushing harder!!
