Thanks. I thought that may be the case, but didn't want to assume.

TKO quarter finals will start 7:30pm. All 9 frames to be played to ensure all players get to play, together with allowing us to have no doubts about player eligibility.
Semi finals will finish as soon as the winning team cross the line.

Who did this draw?? Sepp blatter?? Talk about rigged! Keep all the lower teams away from the big sides, good thinking!

Well with 5 'big' teams it's mathematically impossible to have them all in the same section, you get my point though! No slur on Old Boys at all, they just happened to get on the good side of the draw. So one of us lot against the old boys in the final then!

Tbf it could have been more skewed... they could have put the Workies in our half and us in the first half! We got knocked out by lower division opposition last year and have never reached the final, so I'll openly agree the CWMC with their TKO pedigree have a better chance of reaching the final than us... or something.

Black Bull are a Prem side, CSC C beat a Prem side in the last round, Edith have beaten Prem sides in the TKO. I know you're trying to be amusing, but OB lost to Hardwick at the same stage last season... IMHO, OB are stronger than both the Workies and the Rathmore, you just happen to have CSC and Mickeys in the same half of the draw
If you are putting in writing that I have fixed the draw, I'd appreciate that accusation being put in a more formal manner to be addressed at the next AGM.

I'm only kidding of course. I wouldn't really care if it's rigged or not, you have to beat the best team eventually if you want to win it anyway! I also know all too well about the pitfalls of the cup, we lost to a divsion 7 team last year thanks to me missing a dolly black....though we did go on to win the plate, so I guess i did us a favour in a stupid round-about sort of way! ;D

I wouldn't worry about it, you get accused of all sorts the moment you pull anything out of a hat. It's why I firmly said no to that opening in my company's "Magician's Core"

Matt,
How is this being done. 1st name is the home team, and fills in the card 1st?
|
|
|
Post by The Halifax Ringer on Jul 4, 2011 10:13:06 GMT
Correct,
CSC A Mickey Flynns A CSC C Old Boys
Will be classed as the "Home" team for the quarter final with respect to who fills out the card and has the first break.
The Semi-Finals will require a coin toss to decide the "home" side.
To save confusion, the first draw on each night (QF1 and QF3) will be using Table 1 (Nearest the bar) and QF2 and QF4 will use Table 2.
Both Semi-Finals will be played on table 1
