I'll confirm those shortly. Quarters and Semis are one after the other. Last year, the TKO quarters started at 7.30pm with the semis following straight after for the venue I was at. It wasn't a late finish then but I don't know how the other half of the draw and the plate venue went. It may be that with experience Matt decides to start it half an hour earlier or later.

I'm extremely unhappy about this! On the website it lists the plate quarters as being on Sat 9th July, and on the calender it DID say they were the Sun 10th July, and that was even the case YESTERDAY when we spoke about them at our trebles and double checked. We now find out the date is completely different, after we have had players arrange work commitments etc around those dates listed so they could play the match. This sort of thing is not on, if you list a date for comps to be played on, then the comps should be played on those dates.

I cant see why either, it should be played at the home venues on the Sunday 17th July with the semi & final on the Sat 20th Aug at Mickeys.
I think the website is a liitle out where its not been corrected, whereas the calender has it right.
You always play on Sunday evening except the semi & Final. do not worry it will be sorted

On the website there is not a date listed against the plate quarters but i can see how you think it is on 9th July as it is under the TKO. A few of the dates are wrong on the website including the second round of the Men's Doubles and the Captain's Cup. Apologies for this it will be sorted at tomorrow's committee meeting. However, the date on the calendar is correct. That states 17th July and has done since the beginning of the season. It has not been changed so i do not know where you got the 10th from? In addition, all dates were given out in the captain's packs and this also states the 17th July. Once again, apologies for the website.

Generally if there is any doubt, refer to your captain's pack IMHO.

Yea, Saturdays are a real pain, I'd be v suprised if we have a full team too. To be honest, I'd be surprised if we had full squads out for all 8 teams on any day of the year we decided to hold this on, it's the nature of the situation we are in. We get people not being happy with the dates we hold competitions on or other arrangements but never really hear anything constructive to the contrary. In fact, the members voted in the sponsorship of Mickey Flynns and were aware that final rounds would be held on a Saturday night. This date isn't convenient for the Edith either, we currently have only three players confirmed to be able to attend...

Is it me or is it madness to play four ties across two tables on a sat night and want to play every frames, despite after getting to 5 frames it is totally pointless!

Are the plate semis to be played straight after the quarters?. Are they to be played at Mickey's?. When is the final?. Sorry if these appear to be silly questions, but I'm having trouble figuring it out from these posts.

The plate quarters are played on the 17th July at the home venue of each draw. The semi's and final are all played on one night at Mickey's.
