that day was badly organised Dale and you know it. Starting with the cancelation of the event, then it being back on again and then having to wait for a team or 2 to show up, very late. Of course we were peeved!
Look. If you want to keep it as it is, so be it.
And Gary, yes that is one of the points. No denying it. Although the way you put it is a little bit silly even for you. It doesn't change the main point, which is p/boro and Mickeys (so far) hate playing the Mondays or struggle to do so. That is basically it!

there is that point Darren. The best players have been there done it. Would do it againg but the 12-14 Mondays put them off. A shame really. It would be great to send a team that is good enough to actually win it. The players are there. Phil Harrison, Joe perry and Neil robertson would play too. They can't due to the monday night BLX Maybe you could get Messi and Ronaldo to help win the world cup for us this year too? I don't think the trophy would look as good on the mantlepiece tho if you did that. For the record for the record for the record, Cambridge Elite didn't field their first 'yarmouth' team every week. I have the stats, and they're undeniable

I do remember going to one game with 6, another with 8.
It is a struggle to get players out on a monday for some teams, however if you want the good times in yarmouth and a chance to win it, you have to be commited.
The Cambridgeshire Cup day was exelent, and personally i would prefer a one day event, but you have to go with the majority.

Was the meeting today ?
If so, what decisions were made regarding interleague ?

The players are there. Phil Harrison, Joe perry and Neil robertson would play too. They can't due to the monday night BLX LOL Have you asked Phil about this? Or are you simply making the assumption? I only ask because I spoke to him yesterday about related issues, and I think you're guessing. Guessing wrong, too. For the record, I agree that your arguments have merit for the people like yourself who think of Interleague as a means to an end. You also have to take into consideration the other people, who simply see Interleague competition as the end in and of itself.

It was decided that Monday evenings were still the best time to have it. However some teams did not wish to play on 10 ocassions to take part in the league. As such, if the same number of teams enter it will be reduced to 5 evenings. This will be done by playing two matches on each match night. To enable this all matches will be played at CSC. Not sure if this is the right way to go but 4 out of the 6 interleague captains voted in favour.

better of 2 evils. No-one is thrilled by any idea but we will see how it goes i guess. Not playing 10 fixtures is much better for 3/6 of the current teams. CSC were not fussed either way and went for the less fixtures.
CSC have agreed to pay the £35 entrance fee for the 3 qualifying teams. they will also provide the tables free and free Hot food. Tony said he may provide a bit more depending on how it goes.

Who are the 2 sides that voted against ?
Whilst CSC is undoubtedly an excellent venue for any event, it seems bizarre that a league will be played with some of the teams playing at home every match and some of the teams away every match.
I can remember the rebirth of the Cambridgeshire interleague. I have no doubt that it took some hard work to get it off the ground. Steve Peregrine was the main instigator I believe and at one time we had around 14 teams from all over the county.
It seems a shame to me that it has come to this.

Who are you? Ron made a valid point, that the teams represent the league, NOT a venue. Albeit playing from one location. It isn't ideal but no reason not to try it out . More players may be able to play now the fixtures are halved. It also means more Pool on the Monday, alongside a good atmosphere. Suck it and see...

I sent in the entry for the CSC team back in February but haven't heard anything back. I hope we'll get some information about dates and how many entries soon.

i think they are in the process of seeing who they've got? Don't forget there will be half the fixtures with 2 matches being played in one evening! The enties are imminent but there is plenty of time to play the league.
