OK mate
Matt will be picking the squad. Matt is the new Captain. I believe he won't mess about and will play the strongest squad. After Eynesbury you never know.

I have received forms to re-enter.
Cambridge Elite are not entering this year but I have heard rumour the Rathmore may be entering with some of the Elite players included.
I have also heard that the MoM may enter. So there is much confusion and conflict of interests about to occur i would imagine.
I imagine that there will be quite a re-shuffle.
It would be handy ti know who plans to to what and post here....
Does anyone know what is going to happen to those who pulled out? Huntingdon, St Neots and P/Boro not having enough players?

My intention is to finish off what we have started with Cambridge Elite, and then will bow out of inter-league altogether.

I still say that a single (or possibly) two day format for the league games will allow all games to be played with the least amount of casualties. If that was the case then I am sure that Hunts, St.Neots and P/Boro would be able to get enough players. Also, I did wonder if Ely would continue now that half of their team has stopped playing "1 frame events". Perhaps this format would also ensure that they reformed.

I dislike this format.
if you can't make the day, or have an off day then there is no way to make amends for it.
The idea of a league is to stretch it out to eliminate the 'on the day' factor.

Nah, thats rubbish. A team would perform to the abilities of its players. Some players would have a good day, some would have an off day. Overall performance would stablize. If anything, another plus with a single days format is that the captain can identify off form players and sub them (reserves permitting). You cannot effectively do that in a league with 2 week gaps. Off-Form 2 weeks ago may be red hot now and vice-a-versa. Remember, its the overall team performance, not an individuals that counts here. One day would guarantee enough teams with players. Would you rather have a full team ( with a couple of off form players), or half a team (with still a couple of off form players). -- Oh and steve, I wasn't meaning to offend.

How about 2 days. 1st half based at CSC and the second half based in Peterborough. A little fairer perhaps ? I wouldn't be worried about travelling to peterborough for one day and it might even inspire more teams to enter, which must be a better thing for the County overall.

-- Oh and steve, I wasn't meaning to offend. you didnt mate! believe me if it wasnt for yourself and a couple of others at the end of the season there wouldnt have been a team i was just trying to point out that it is a lot of work, without the necessary committed players. people lose interest after a period of time
