Blackbull 6 CSC (H) 6
Got off to a bad start, losing the first 2 frames, before Stu played well to win his frame to pull one back. we shared the next 2, before Deano finished off a scrappy 6th frame, for 3-3 at the break.
Marcus and Darren did well to get us off to a good start in the 2nd half, and Stu potted a great black in frame 9, as we went 6-3 up. However from there we went to sleep, and didn't play too well, not taking the chances we had and giving them a few frames we should have taken.
Not a great match, both good and poor in places, but a nice team.

MOTM 'A' 9 - 3 OLD BOYS Well thats more like it. So first frame Mick kicks off with a quite stunning finish leaving us all rather baffled 1-0 (look out hotshots). Our boys were rallied and i already had a feeling this was going to be a BOOM evening. But then, disaster strikes!!! Around 50 people walk into the pub wanting serving and with Speedy being short staffed last night the only thing he could think of was 'serving Red Bull' rather than 'potting Red Balls' so unfortunately Paul 'flapper' Reed (not my name for you) was able to keep a cool head and we went level at 1-1. Ian came on next and after a foul by Mr Benstock, Ian kept his cool to tie up a tough finish and get himself back on track.....we were all starting to buzz again! Sean followed and pulled off some incredible cuts to win a dominant game and put to bed the horrible run of luck he has had so far this year already.....bbbbbuzzzzing! Me next and as usual i wont say too much, but i won and won well. Thats 4-1 people. So with this in mind Mr Kidd was playing to keep his place in the second 6 as our new signing was in the wings waiting to pounce on any loss and get stuck in......Kidder held his nerve and won...5-1......BOOM! Second six started by Mick getting beaten by a knuckle after some more stunning play....5-2! Our new signing came on nexrt and like a whirlwind pulled off some mazy doubles and well and truly cemented his place as one of the boys...Well done GB....6-2 So now we had 4 frames to go so we were looking for dominance. Ian played a very sensible game without putting a foot wrong to seal the points for us at 7-2 and all of a sudden it felt like we were floating around the table. Sean then rattled off a tense finish in style to get a well deserved 2 out of 2 and make it 8-2 and game on for 10!!! Unfortunately for me Steve had other ideas abd pulled out a quite brilliant dish off the break within about 2 minutes to gain some form of respectable scoreline for them and prove that on their day they still have some of the most dangerous players in the league...nothing i could have done...8-3 Then the grudge match. Paul vs Danny. To be fair it was quite a light hearted finish in comparison to most meetings between the two but im proud to announce that Kidder came up with the goods, letting out an almighty ROAR as he pumped the black in at distance.....il give you one guess to what he was shouting Thanks lads for a good night. Cannot wait to face the Youngens now next week. BOOOOOOOOOOOM x
