haha yes dave, i hadnt realised that dan anyways had a thought so im putting it out there to see what people think and well to see if its feasible, i noticed we had the usual no shows / walkovers etc now i thought of a way, potential way we can avoid them how about if an incentive was added to the cup in the form of the winner of the cup has free league entry the next season, i know its not a massive incentive but landlords etc would appreciate it obviously though is there enough in the pool league coffer in which to make this viable ?

I may be being unfair, but I think the no-shows mainly come from teams who think they are very unlikely to win the cup. For those that regard themselves as in with a chance, the incentive of winning the competition already seems to be enough.

i dont think your being unfair you most likely right in my opinion all im thinking is that the landlord etc or whoever pays the team entry would prefer they turn up and at least try but your right it may do nothing

Completely seperate competition that should run along side the main tko.
Play it on Sunday nights (or have it as a team event over a couple of Sundays) and have set criteria before the season starts to include all teams from the bottom 4 leagues.

We had two or three teams that gave more than 24 hours notice of not playing. Only one team did not show on the night. They have been fined £10 and have already paid the fine. Obviously not good to not show but fair play for paying the fine. Well done to the Ida Darwin A. I will pass this onto the Six Bells in due course.
The plate is only open to 1st and 2nd round losers. This hopefully gives teams an incentive to play. Those that did not play in the 1st round or do not play in the 2nd round will not be eligible for the plate. The "big" teams enter the TKO in the 3rd round so we do not allow losers from that round into the plate. It is designed so that a lower league team will win. It has been like that for two seasons. Please keep the ideas coming.
