Yo
Men's A actually won 28-16 but let's not quibble.
The current World Champion, John Roe returned to play for Cambs A and was Man of the Match in winning all four of his frames. Paul Stelmaszuk and Shaun Leader also won 4 from 4 in a fine win over a strong Norfolk side.
The Men's B lost but the captain was reasonably happy with a good performance and expects results to improve. Stacey Tite was Man of the Match gaining three wins from four.
The Ladies ran out impressive winners. Largely due to the top three of Liz Disney, Becky Watkins and Shelley Boome who all won 4 from 4. CAPL player Helen Barrett made her debut and won one frame from two.
The Youth team won the last two frames to earn a draw. Both teams were short of players. The Cambridgeshire side had 10 players and Norfolk only had 9. Five players chipped in with three from four: England triallist Ashley Scarr; new captain Nathan Sanders; Lewis Woollard and CAPL players Sammy Cradock and Patrick Pell. Harry Crosby, son of CAPL stalwart Sharon Crosby made his debut and won a frame.
The Seniors had a bad result in their first ever match. A good start to go 2-1 up, quickly subsided to a 12-3 loss. This is a new venture for most of the players and hopefully things will improve. Bob Laflin was the best performer for the home side with two wins from three frames.
