The £35,000 National Charity Pool Tournament 2013
Dear Stephen
The National Charity Pool Tournament launches today with £35,000 in prizes GUARANTEED and the great thing is the prizes have been cleverly spread to give the ordinary player - for the first time ever - the opportunity to win more than they’ve ever won before! Oh - and professionals are not allowed to play!
The greatest thing about all this is that it’s FREE, FREE, FREE to enter!
What’s the catch?
Good question but there is no catch - your only requirement would be to do a good deed and raise £100 for a charity of your choice. If you can do that then you’re in the tournament! It really is as simple as that!
And if you’re wondering how you can raise that £100 - don’t worry, we’ve made that easy for you too!
We have created the National Charity Raffle with prizes totalling £12,500 including a £5,000 cash 1st prize, plus two sets of holidays for a family of four for a week to a 5* resort in The Gambia including flights so all you’d need to do is sell these to family, friends and colleagues. While you do, you’ll be accumulating Golden Tickets for our free £2,500 draw!!
Here’s a list of what could be won;
Tournament Prize Fund - £20,000 (£4,000 to the winner, paid down to last 32)
Ultimate Loser (Officially the worst player in the tournament) - £2,500
Golden Ticket Free Draw (1 Golden Ticket awarded per £1 Raised) - £2,500
Highest Fundraiser - Holiday for 2 for a week to the Gambia, including flights
National Charity Raffle - £12,500 of prizes
Incentives - The more you raise, the more you get!
Now that you have read this, I hope you’ll agree that this is a unique, innovative and exciting idea where you can not only benefit the charity of your choice but at the same time give yourself the opportunity to be involved in the UK’s first National Charity Pool Tournament and win some incredible prizes!
You can read all about it in our awesome magazine or visit www.gocado.org for more information!
You can follow us on Facebook or Twitter.
PS - we hadn’t even launched yet and we have already had almost £10,000 pledged! Let’s hit the £100,000 mark - together, we can do it! Plese do let your friends know about it.
Best regards,
Carl Morris

A brief history of Gocado and Carl Morris
Many of you will be aware of what I do for charity, but for those of you who don’t, allow me to explain a little about what I do and who I am. I have always been a charity fundraiser due to the fact that I am profoundly deaf and received a lot of help from the National Deaf Children’s Society and without them and my parents, I would not be where I am today. That is why I try and do these things - to give something back.
The fact that I became a world pool champion made my task easier by enabling me to use my status to raise awareness and ultimately, funds of which over £750,000 has been raised. £230,000 of that was through Charity Pool Exhibitions. I changed the name to Gocado as we are expanding into charity tournaments, events and products hence the name Charity Pool Exhibitions is no longer relevant.
I’m a great believer in helping charities and the importance of getting help early on and I can only hope that the NCPT - a project that has taken me eighteen months to get off the ground - goes some way to achieving this.
