To be played at Mickey Flynns on August the 20th, 7:30pm start
Table 1:
Fulbourn Institute C vs CSC Q Power
Table 2:
The King Street Run A vs Kings Head
The team listed first are the home side and will fill out the scorecard first.
For the final, a coin toss will decide both the table to use and who will be the designated home team.
The draw was done tonight at a committee meeting by Phil Willis, Steve McCann and Martin Eaton. Good luck to all four teams involved.

KSRA won 5-0, and then beat CSC 5-0 in the final
i think we could of had a little more fun in the first one, but 'ruthless' was the word of the day

fair play Ixan.
your match against mike was the best frame of the night as you both went for pots and it was fun to watch.
the others were just a bore fest of us potting balls and ksr just pushing them round the table until we got so bored we gave you 2 shots. then like a miracle you guys potted everything!
fair play if thats how you do it then congrats ;D

Yo Paul I have to say that yes, that is normally how KSR do it. Greenley couldn't pot seven in a row if they were in his camper van. That is why night's at the Run are legendary, for the late nights, as the opponents also copy, and push balls around the table. However, to contradict myself, they played very well against us a couple of weeks ago, in a good standard game with lots of first visit clearances.

I wasn't even there that night, glad to see they haven't forgotten everything I've taught them

I have never had someone slag my game off to my captain in a match let alone a semi final of any competion for being tactical. We were only 2-0 up and I dont take my opponent for granted. My captain was told I was out of order for covering a pocket and we should play friendly. To add insult in the forth frame thier best player on the night covered the pockets when the tactics warranted. I can't wait to take another saturday night off work playing in a comp which obviously very few give a ***** about. With the attitude of our semi opponents the commitee need to reconsider this plate KO

just as it took me a while to adjust to and start enjoying playing world rules, it took me a while to adjust to and enjoy playing prem style pool.. it is a different mindset that you need, and agree that prem teams have no place in the plate KO. Amazing....is that the Semih hard on technique? lol - from now on, yes!

It has been decided that no trophy should be given on finals night as all participants who played in the plate KO will recieve a certificate for taking part instead.

I vote for a new trophy to be given to the scribe of the best forum post of the year - i think this one should win. it has everything, Put down, exasperation, current affairs.. brilliance.

at no point in time did anyone say play friendly. it was questioned if the rules had changed because you never tried to pot a ball.
yes Ixan i agree with you Prem teams shouldnt be allowed in the plate. Monkeys idea of seedings is a great idea. the whole point of the plate was to give the lower league teams a chance of a night out and a trophy. every season prem/div1 teams have won it. so at finals night it will be the same people yet again. rather than teams who may not win in their league but get a runners up trophy or winners of the plate
