Hi all, The Men's A Team won 23-21 home to Norfolk in their second match of the season. Norfolk A have historically been strong in the region and often finish in the Yarmouth qualification spots. Phil Harrison, Paul Stelmaszuk and Will Scott each managed to win 3 out of 4, and I somehow flapped in 4 out of 4 to help the team towards victory. The Men's B Team lost 20 to 24 against a formidable Norfolk B team who have finished top of the region more times than not in the past 5-6 years. Cambs B were 11-11 at the halfway point but lost the next 6 frames and didn't quite recover. Tim Redman came roaring back into form for Cambs B winning all 4 of his frames and Jamie Jamieson followed him up with 3 out of 4. The Youth team lost 15 to 29, however new star in the making Dom Cooney won 4 out of 4 and experienced players Ashley Scarr and Alex Smith won 3 out of 4. After losing many experienced youth players (who are now overage) from last season, this is a season of rebuilding for the Youth team however there is a lot of promise here and hopefully they can upset the Herts team next month. Next match is Away to Herts on April 15th. Herts are a much more dangerous prospect than last year having re-located to the Rat Pack, but having beaten Suffolk A and Norfolk A we know we can beat Herts as well! This will also be a good opportunity for the B and Youth teams to kick start their seasons! Come on Cambs!!! p.s. Similar to last month, I didn't hear the Ladies' team result. If any of the ladies look at this forum, then feel free to let us all know how you got on!
