Just over the halfway stage and already 2 teams have pulled out the league. Is there more that can be done to stop teams pulling out? Am i right in thinking that a £50 deposit is required by these teams if they play next season, which is returned on completion of that season. Perhaps making it a fine instead of a deposit. I know we need to encourage teams to play but also to discourage teams from pulling out. I have a team of youngsters now with 6 byes this season that are scratching at the bit to play a game.

Unfortunate but difficult for anyone to predict what circumstances will make a team withdraw even a fine of £50 is only going to be a small amount per player so would it change anything? 4 withdrawals this year and some bye's in the league leaves other teams inthe same position can only suggest you organise some friendly matches.

Catch some of the higher Division Teams on their bye dates and arrange for friendlies!
I'm sure something can be done...

I agree about organizing a friendly, it just seems some teams who don't fair to well in there respective league's take the option of pulling out rather than finishing the season. If a stiffer penalty was in place to stop this then perhaps they'll think twice before taking the easy way out. People have moaned about the hotshots not being updated regularly, Mark now has to go through it all to correct them again

What a finish to the season, team organised, food organised, table cleaned and leveled, then BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM the carpenters arms B don't even turn up. No phone call, e-mail or any attempt made to contact me. And for good measure's i went down to the carpenters arms and there they all sat playing poker. The landlord wouldn't even come out to see me. £10 out of pocket and not 1 game of pool tonight, roll on the summer
