Anyone thinking of joining this should realise that participation will effectively exclude you from all EPA and IPA events, including all county, superleague, and golden cue etc.

Anyone thinking of joining this should realise that participation will effectively exclude you from all EPA and IPA events, including all county, superleague, and golden cue etc. Quote from Pat Moyles (organiser) Don't know where this came from Ian. But we represent Federation and we allow anyone to play pool, not like the world rules lot. Where did this come from?

From organiser:
Ian the plan was that local leagues in their areas would play against each other playing blackball rules. Two teams would then qualify for the finals in October. If there are not enough teams in your area then you may have to travel to your nearest possible area to play in their knockout. If this is not an option then the organisers would probably look at putting you straight through. The whole point of the competition is to promote the rules. However we do insist that all players play in a local pool league. Any league playing any rules. After all it is called Superleague. Any player of any standard can enter, professional/amateur. We have pretty much thrown this together so the first event will probably be a bit flakey. However we will learn from it and hopefully get it a bit more professional in the following years. But the basics are local pool leagues set up six to eight teams to play against each other in a home/away basis. This can be done in one venue or several venues. A local representative will decide this. Two teams qualify for the finals. Matches to be played and completed between June 01 to August 31st. All playing Blackball rules. Players do need to qualify they play in the league they represent by getting a headed note paper from their leagues hierarchy. This also goes for reserves or any new player joing the sqaud of ten. Any more questions please get back to me.

That is as may be, but anyone playing in a Federation organised event will be ineligible to play in EPA events.

I can do the IPA rules if anyone needs further proof of what I'm saying. I'm not even saying I agree with it, just that these rules are in place.

When will it be possible for EPA and Federation to come to a comprimise. Is it only Jersery that both sets of players can meet and compete. Would it help if it was called Open Superleague Competition? For pool to move forward as a recognised sport then both organisations need to allow players to play pool and this competition is an opening of the hand to EPA to shake. I have no grips with the EPA so why ban players from playing pool?

cos the EPA are little hitlers and are afraid of not having an empire to run any more. Therefore they have rules that kick you out for playing Pool that has nothing to do with them. Just cos their not running it. Communism in the extreme. it is probably illegal?

doubt it - it's the same for darts right? Not exactly as the darts boys play the same rules and have open events.
