Those that complain about CSC don't know how lucky we are. The table quality and amount of space at Riley's of Luton is vastly inferior to CSC.

Agreed, it was like playing in an Osborne Arms with only slightly more space

A team won 25-19 with both Joff and Phil getting 4 out of 4.
Tables as always were a disgrace I am told they are hoping to do a long term deal there though that will vastly improve the situation.

I'll never go back there. Even if I play county again next season, I'll miss that match. I was disgusted with the whole thing. Expecting us to stand there while they did their awards thing at the beginning (like we could care less), tables a joke, food a joke, no space, no seating area, tables a joke, and... errr.... did I mention that the tables were a joke?
I've honestly never played on such bad equipment. The tables weren't level, the cushions were dead, the cloths were thick, unironed, unbrushed, with big-ass divots in them where the balls were to be racked. Pockets cut wrong, the slates were on wonky (thus altering the cut of the middle bags especially) and the balls were even old, chipped and faded.
I remember Paul saying to me halfway through that this was not pool as we knew it, but that we had to just dig in and find a way to win. We did, but the first part of that sentence will remain with me a lot longer than the smell of sweat and crap that permeated that place.
What a way to spend a Sunday. Makes me glad to be back. :/

Can't stress enough how much I agree with Rich and Monkey above.
These tables and the venue as a whole were truly awful. Having played at CSC on Saturday and again last night, it really goes to show how much effort is put in to keep these tables sweet. Yes, we have gripes now and again, but that's because they are kept at a condition where one bad roll or bounce makes us take notice.
Props to Tony (and Nosh Jr) for that.
