Hi The Cambridgeshire County Pool Association (CPA) runs an Inter League competition throughout the year. This is open to teams from leagues affiliated to the CPA. At the moment, in addition to the Cambridge Area Pool League (CAPL) there will likely be teams from Peterborough, Wisbech, Ely and St Neots. I believe that the CAPL will, at a minimum be represented by the CWMC (otherwise known as the Cambridge Bruvs) and Mickey Flynn's. The league is run on a home and away basis and fixtures are roughly every three weeks depending on the number of teams. Matches take place on Monday evenings and where possible venues should use two tables. Matches comprise of 2 sets of 9 singles so a minimum of 9 players are required. Squads should usually be of 11 or 12 players depending on the reliability of players. There is also a one day knock out tournament held at CSC usually around May time. The CPA are holding a meeting regarding this year's Interleague competition on Sunday 16th January at CSC at 2pm. Should you be interested in captaining a team then please attend the meeting on Sunday. If you require more information then please contact myself or Garry Browne. Our contact details can be found on the CAPL website. Regards Mark Golden
