Moon lost 8-6 in the last 16.
Says a lot about the quality of these competitions when the team which has dominated the CAPL for the past 16 years loses narrowly in the last 16.
Massive props to all four teams who took part, you've all done the CAPL proud.

Yo
My first visit to Yarmouth and it didn't disappoint. Playing pool at 9am is however, just wrong. Same for both teams though. We lost our first game 10-4 and won our second 9-5. The run lost twice, i don't know the scores. Mickey's won 11-3 and needed a draw in their second game to progress. From 6-3 up it got a bit nervy as it went to 6 each. They won the next frame to get to the last 32. They played the holders in the last 32 and unfortunately lost to what i was told were a fantastic team. The Moon started very badly and were 7-3 down but managed to come back to get a draw. They won their second match 10-4 to get to the last 32. The last 32 match was a very feisty affair and i think the banter got them going and they won comfortably to get through to Sunday. They lost to a very good Leicester team that i believe also beat them last year. The drinking was awesome, with 4 Cambridge teams all going out on the beer together on Saturday night. Smillie was barred from the pier and Norris was given an exclusion zone from the whole of the promenade. That didn't stop him though. As for what to do when you run out of toilet roll..........Please see Andy Bowles......... PS Barry Lindsay was a scream. Also great for our ex landlord to come and support us and put money in our whip. Top bloke.

KSR lost 9-5 an then 10-4. Played well in most frames up until the crucial moments, when we played poor shots or got some bad luck. At this level you get punished for that and we were . Both scores could/should really have been the other way round. At least we won more frames than hours we got sleep over the weekend. Moon has a great chance in their last 16 match but they again made a couple of mistakes at the wrong moment and ended up losing narrowly. The team that beat them lost in the final after getting easy wins after beating the Moon.
