To my amazement I just had an awesome time in Yarmouth. The CWMC boys qualifying from our group with 2 wins and then going on to play Preston south who I think got to the final last year and were fully expected to smash us to oblivion. However we managed to draw 9-9 with them taking the match to a playoff in which we lost 2-1, but was still an absolutely epic match. Massive team effort especially from Ben Clements who won 6 from 6 I think and bagged 2 crucial frames.. one being our ninth to level up 9-9 with Preston. Up the workies

Absolutely proud as hell to be captain of us in yarmouth Won our 1st match 10-8, after being 4-1 down (and waiting nearly 4hrs for the first 2 teams to finish their 1st match!!!) Then won 10-3 in the next, setting us up for a match against Preston South.......a team with the likes of gareth hibbott & lee clough ect........ We were 6-3 down, but played immense to get it back to 9-9. We then lost the play-off 2-1. But scared the life out of them They are now through to the quarter finals, and I expect them to go a v long way indeed. Many individuals to single out, but one big team effort Brilliant sons - absolutely brilliant

We played about as well as we could have between us lot. So gutted to lose on the last ball to Preston, who went on to the last 4 only to lose to Trent Trophies. What a comeback from 6-3 down though, i managed to pull out a good clearance on Gareth Hibbott when the chips were down, and Ben Clements saved the match for us at 8-9 down with some immense pressure play, and he won every game he played over the weekend. Class. Playoff could have gone either way, kev dished up Lee Clough, John got cleared by some other chap, so it was 10-10 and down to Jamies game for the match. One slightly underhit positional shot for the last yellow resulted in the last yellow being missed, and that was that. Well done lads, done cambridge proud.
