its so hard to predic with so many strong teams this season. It might be more fun to predict who will come last LOL
All I can predict is that it is going to be very close.

Certainly going to be a competative season. I am looking forward to playing against my old friends at the Rock. Is Steve Rogers still playing for you guys?

Alan - Steve is playing with us every week, and is now finding his form after a difficult start. We only had 5 available for a couple of games in the summer but now he has joined we have a bigger squad and with Jordan (Mr Attack) we should be able to put a side out without me running around every thurdsay afternoon. We look forward to seeing you during the season. The only down side I can see about the forthcoming season is having to play The Crickets again. It's that noise they make when you are trying to play a shot...Difficult to win at their place with that - and the shove ha'penny table they play on.

Cool Steve is a decent bloke and a steady "get the job done" player. He is a real strength to the team. He struggled with form a bit when Histon first started up but you could always rely on him to be there every week. I am suprised he has not got Simon to come along with him. Look forward to seeing you all again this season. Histon had folded before we got chance to play you last season.

"The noise they make when your trying to play a shot" What's that all about, if i remember correctly it was one of your rabble (Warren) who interupted P.A.R when he was playing his game and who then asked for a bit of peace off your team!!

I know mate i'm a bit off the game at the moment as it's harder than i thought all these sleepless nights!! I've hardly played since i rolled that black in to win the div 3 title so i might be a bit off form when the season starts but as long i get some practise by the time we play your rabble i don't mind. Speaking of valentines day i was thinking we could maybe find a little corner after the game for a bit of "quality time"?!

Maybe the fixture list was made to try and get abit more love inbetween our teams and shut us up abit on here..............but somehow i doubt thats gonna happen!!!

It's not that uncommon, and I think you can get some tablets to stop those urges. I think the shaking gets worse though. Now keep your mind on securing that mid table position.

Don't underestimate the Grove Jordan, they spent nearly all of last season in the top 3, and only dropped away a little in the final weeks of the season. Not an easy start for the Cricketers at all!

haha nah i dont mate i believe i predicted them for the biggest win against the cricketers out of anyone ive played them 3 times before and know what they are like......but missing your two best players can easily cost u a few games which can make all the difference in a win lose draw format with no points offered per game (but goal difference woop di ****** doooo)

well we will see on the night. We are under a new captain this season and I only joined half way through last season. So we have been "freshened" I know our new captain is very keen for promotion so this may motivate some of us weeker players.
Looking forward to it though. I know div 2 is a bit above my level but I hope to learn from the people I play and hope it improves my game.

We've lost our best player from last year, so we could find it tough, but we've got a young team and hopefully the inexperienced players will improve and we'll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season... We started last season very slowly and it took us a while to grow in confidence and I'm not sure we can afford to do that again, so the game at the grove will be a good test for us... The other thing we're lacking is practice - I've barely hit a ball in the past month and I think the same is true for a lot of our team...

LOL I think you will find most people will have the same problem I have only had a couple of games of the last month and that was against my wife and farther in law.
