Jim Davidson? Not surprised there are tickets going, why would anyone in their right mind go and see that bigoted waste of space!

Thank god for non PC comedians like Jim Davidson, Roy Chubby B, Kevin Boody Wilson, Matt Lucas, Davis Walliams, Ade Edmondson, Rik Mayall and many others. The PC brigade are killing comedy amongst other things. Ban the bloody PC brigade thats what I say. One of the best things about British comedy was our aility to laugh out ourselves slowly we are losing that ability because of a bunch of over sensative big girls blouses.

Hmm could be a funny show but comparing him to more modern 'un - PC' comedians could be a bit wide of the mark.
For example Ricky Gervais is as un-PC as it gets, but its all kind of tongue in cheek with him. With Davidson, Chubby Brown, Manning etc you get the feeling that they do genuinely hate black people and gay people.

I don't get that impression. Although I accept that he may believe some of the stereotypes he perpetuates. But then again, sometimes my Dad says things which I think are borderline racist, and he doesn't even realise it.
We all have to accept that it's difficult as we get older to adapt to an ever changing shift in world view of what is right & wrong. Perhaps when I'm 60 and I call some young lout a 'Chav' my kids will look at me with the same expression.

I'm gay and I dont find any of the comedians mentioned hate filled but then I find it easy to laugh at myself. Some people have forgotten that comedy is a caricature (However you spell it) of life and the reason most jokes work is because we can relate to them in some way. Look at it another way If Richard Pryor makes a joke about his race its ok, Jim Davidson does it he's a bigot. If Julian Clarey Jokes about gay life its ok, Jim Davidson does it he's a bigot. Personally I think Jim Davidson has had alot of bad press he is without doubt less than perfect but I dont think he is a bigot and I still find him funny.

Jim Davidson made fun of nearly every corner of society because of minority. Lets face it we all laughed. Today there is certain "humour" that is wrong. Granted and Right! I won't take a racist joke because that breeds racism. I'll take a sexual, political, mother-in-law, fat, thin etc joke all day long. We all know it's humour and bloody funny. I doubt there will be any gay jokes. After the Brian Dowling scenario. I felt JD was fine in that. Who disagrees?
