During these times of Coronavirus, I was wondering if the committee (like the Premier League, Rugby Football Union and other leading sporting bodies) would be announcing a ‘policy’ on handshakes?
in my first frame last night the young lad I played seemed very uncomfortable shaking my hand. I certainly don’t think he was being rude, more likely, I’m so old, he was worried he might give me something that would kill me.
I’m more concerned at the moment that someone will take umbridge if a player refused to shake their hand than catching anything. I thought if the committee made an announcement/policy on it (no handshaking? A fist pump? An elbow pump? a little wave?) it would remove any risk of a difficult incident arrising when a player refused another players hand.

Instead of handshaking, I think we should each just write a letter of welcome to be on the safe side. These could be exchanged on a table where they could be read without touching them. All teams should also have a pot to disinfect the cue ball each time it is handled. Perhaps a new rule is also required for teams to supply medical gloves to play in? I think playing in full faced helmets is the only way to go, but personally think that this should remain optional for the time being.
