I understand the final score was Rathmore L 4 v CSC L 8
Dan Taylor was up first against Nathan. Dan almost cleared from the break but his last ball stayed in the jaws. I expected Nathan to stitch but he went for the clearance. He had one tough ball and it was left until the last one. He didn't quite come far enough for the double and it looked like a double kiss. He had to hit it hard to try to straighten it a bit. It hit the far jaw but then came around two cushions and finished right behind the white. This made bridging very difficult for Dan and although he knocked his ball in he also followed in with the white. Nathan duly cleared for 1-0 to CSC.
Up next was Dan Bowles against Ian. Dan got in front but Ian kept him tied up with only half chances. Ian eventually got his chance and cleared. 2-0
I played Stu next. After a couple of shots each i went for the clearance. I had to come across the table twice from my last ball to get on the black and failed. Stu duly cleared up. 3-0.
I had to go early for work so Garry very kindly allowed me to play my second frame against him next. He broke well and knocked a couple in. I then cleared up. Garry reckons it was lucky. I don't care. 3-1
Mark played Matt next and Mark missed a glorious chance to clear up but went in off and Matt duly cleared. 4-1 and then I left for work
