On behalf of the CAPL a Happy New Year. We have arranged a cheap night of pool entertainment with one of the legends of the game.
Keith Brewer Challenge exhibition
CSC 17th January - 7pm
Entry is absolutely FREE
Format:
Twenty players will have the opportunity to play Keith, for a small cover charge - all given back out in prize money, using a special set of Pool-lottery balls (these are reds/yellows numbered 1-7).
At the end of the frame if you win, then you receive a Pool-lottery ticket.
Prizes (Potentially)
A Vauxhall Corsa Car, weekend in Paris for 2 plus spending money, Supreme Pool table and many many more.
Full details will be given on the evening.
Again, as a good will gesture from the CAPL we have decided to use some of our well maintained funds to provide a cheap night out for our members.
CSC are generously reducing the price of the beer with the cheapest lager available at £2.50 a pint.
Keith is a legend of the game being a former world no 1 and current World Seniors Champion. This is an opportunity not to be missed. Can captains please tell all of their players and if possible give us an idea of interest.

To all of you moaning minnies out there!
The committee organised and approved payment for an evening of entertainment by one of the best pool players the game has ever seen. All captains were told about this twice which in theory meant that all 7/800 players in the CAPL should have known about it. The turn out was abysmal, in fact other than the usual suspects - about 4 people turned up.
Its fine that you did not turn up if you were not interested, just don't ever moan about the CAPL not organising stuff for players again. It was an embarrassment for those that did turn up to see so few people, although I think they enjoyed it.

Although I did receive several texts and would loved to have made it, unfortunately I couldn't switch my time of having my daughter so maybe im not one to talk, but I am indeed sad to hear about the turn out...
Its a crying shame that one of the most well ran pool organisations in the country (so I am told and certainly agree myself) is not being fully supported by its hundreds of players.
Shame
