Trials for the Cambridgeshire County Pool teams are taking place this month. On 18th January, there is a trial for the Men’s team at Cambridge Snooker and Pool Centre in Coldham’s Road. Players need to arrive at 11am please. The trial is played using the Swiss system with each player having 3 lives and races are to 3. It is £8 to enter, which is taken from your EPA registration fee if you are successful. The trials are played to World Rules.
If you are unable to make this date then there is also a trial at the Court Club in Peterborough on 11th January as an alternative.
The Ladies, Seniors and Youth trials take place on 25th January, also at CSC. These trials are less formal and if you are unable to make it but keen to join one of those teams then please give me a call or drop me an email.
If you require any further information then please get in touch.

The Men's Trials took place at CSC last Sunday. We had 17 players try out, representing leagues from Cambridge, Haverhill, Huntingdon, Peterborough and Wisbech. The 6 qualifiers were Adam Degen, Glenn Cripps, Ivan Knight (all representing Peterborough), Steve Brophy (Huntingdon), Steve Peregrine (Haverhill) and James Littlefair (Cambridge). Well done to all. We also have two reserves, which are Jason Landels (Cambridge) and Roger Bell (Wisbech).
Thanks to all that turned up and made it an enjoyable day.
The County squad is now made up of 14 players representing Peterborough, 11 from Cambridge, 4 from Huntingdon, 1 from Haverhill and 1 from Ely. I have counted Dom Cooney as Cambridge although I believe he plays in Cambridge and Huntingdon.

As usual a very POOR turn out for the Youth trials, 3, what's up with you peeps, the chance to represent Cambridgeshire is not often given, I've seen enough young players in this league to join, build and win the region...... Get off your arses and make the effort. We are building a good young team who, will, win the region sooner rather than later, be part of it, have fun, enjoy but learn and improve.
Congratulations to Michael Munnelly (Rathmore A) Ben Varney (Haverhill)
