Proposals to change Constitution
The following proposals have been received for debate at the GM on Wednesday 27th August 2014 at CSC.
Proposer: Stephen Paul Seconder: John Barker
If a team fields an ineligible player who has deliberately changed their name in order to play for another team, the player in question should also be punished. The punishment should be decided on a case by case basis. (Teams already punished by deduction of points).
Proposer: Ada Richardson Seconder: Steve McDonald
Instead of a £10 fine for a player failing to adhere to the dress code for the TKO final, if they aren't dressed correctly, they can't participate.
Proposer: Dave Kelleway Seconder: Required?
“Following the recent low numbers of entrants and very poor attendance at the Captains Cup, it is proposed that from the Winter 2014/15 season, the Captains Cup becomes a divisional competition.
The competition is to take place during the week preceding the start of each season, immediately after the Captains meeting.
The date, venue, and format will be decided by each divisional secretary.
The divisional winners will play in a handicapped knockout for the League Captains Cup in Finals week, the venue, number of frames and handicaps to be decided by the Committee.”
Proposer: Committee
Section 18, Points 3 of the constitution states;
A team may postpone matches only in the following circumstances. Both teams agree to the postponement and the date for the match to be played will be supplied when the teams ask for the postponement. This will be within 28 days of the date of the original fixture and at least 7 days before the end of the season. Postponements may also be allowed in exceptional circumstances as judged by the committee.
The committee proposes we remove the “7 days before the final fixture of the season.”
Proposer: Committee
As some of you know we have had an issue this season with a team that has not provided food. The constitution states that the home team should provide hot or cold food for league matches. In addition, a motion to remove the supply of food was put forward at the last AGM in March and was rejected. As such, the committee believes that all home teams should provide food in accordance with the wishes of the members. We have not had this problem before and as such the constitution does not contain a penalty if food is not provided. The committee propose that a £20 fine will be levied for any team not providing food without good reason. This will be for each instance. This fine is deliberately high to avoid teams just paying the fine rather than providing food.
Proposer: Committee
The proposal is not to allow A.N. Other to be entered on the competition entry forms.
Proposer: Committee
The proposal is that Pro Cup balls can be used in competitions if the majority agree and they are available.
