Rathmore Rangers 6v6 Fulbourn A
Decent point for us in the end, after going 4-2 down, although we really needed the win tonight.
Michael was back to his best after a subdued season, with a B&D in the first half and only a twitch on a straight-forward black away from a dish in the second half, although he still managed to win the frame.
Shame the rest of us didn't follow suit!
I played probably the worst game I have ever played (yes, I know that is saying something!) but our super subs James and Jamie came up trumps second half, and Dean and Andy both pitched in with a frame for the draw.
We are still going all out to stay up, but it is getting more difficult!

Emperor Penguins 7-5 White Horse
Well for once we started well! Raced into a 3-0 lead, but there was a significant frame at 4-1 where Mike potted a great black but knocked in a yellow too so we had to settle for 4-2 instead of 5-1 at the break. We traded frames after that, 4-3, 5-3, 5-4, 6-4, 6-5, and then Joe held his nerve to win a massive last frame and take the match, which - by a raft of permutations - makes us champions for the first time in our history!
It was a really great match played in a great spirit, every single frame was competitive and worked hard for and we wish the best to the White Horse in their quest to come up with us!

Congrats and well done to the Penguins - well deserved for a great bunch of lads. Sorry we have not provided our usual close competition, after a strange season for us, but we look forward to meeting again in the future!
Good luck in Div 2.
