Fulbourn 7-5 salisbury a close game that didnt get off to the best starts ,didnt realise these days that nobody from the opposing team have stopwatches on there phones hence they were unable to time frames .i know its down to the home team to provide a stopwatch but every other team ,no i will rephrase that every team we have played when we have asked can we use a stopwatch has pulled out there phones and said no problem .but in the end of the day as mr covill says charma is a bitch and it will come back and bite you on the arse and it did for said player with graham clinching the winning frame .apart from all the above not a bad night i finally won a frame and the rest is history .happy days and keep smiling .

maybe you should have asked the right person about timing (the captain) as I was unaware of any issue until the half time break

Very short odds on people guessing which member.
We won 8-4 against a weakened Uni team.

Very short odds on people guessing which member. I can't imagine anyone will guess who it could have been. Let's have a poll!!

Well lets see, where to start? We had no problem with timing at all and when asked to time I simply asked them if they had a stopwatch which as per rules they are to provide. As for acting like captain, really? your team asked a question I answered and I also gave a reason as to why our team doesn't like to use phones for timing..... I won't go into that on here though. Not my fault if I'm the only other player from my team around other than the person playing as they were all outside smoking. The reaction I got from your team though I did find really childish, surely its not too much to ask that if you wish to time you at least have some way in which to do so for the away team? I mean your team was the ones so set on timing, which we have no problem with, but don't then complain when asked for a stopwatch. As for the txt message reply sent to their team from the league secretary saying it was ok to do something contrary to the leagues own rules, I did find rather strange. Oh and if ppl want to come onto a public forum and slate a person in such a manner then I suggest you be very careful, none of those ppl were present and have no idea what went on, nor any proof who was involved, so to stereotype a person in such a manner may land you in trouble

I was asked if you can use a phone to time. My response was yes. I do not see how that is against the league rules. A lot of phones have stopwatch applications on them. Paul Reed has even posted an app on this forum.

Ok Matt was you at the AGM?? The answer is yes.. Can you remind us what was voted at this meeting which you attended re timing at matches??? The answer for quickness or if you can't remember is BOTH TEAMS TO AGREE TO NOT TO TIMEKEEP IF 1 DONT AGREE YOU MUST TIMEKEEP END OF.... Which part don't you agree ?? A mobile phone can/has been used before inc the prem when stopwatch has failed ..... its easy.. To finish this post as div sec.... Matt you are not capt Mick Whitehead is if you want to run the team then become capt by all means do..... But until then keep your nose out and take any problem to Mick (your capt) and let him sort things out, it's his job as capt ..... You may even save yourself/team a fine/pts deduction if you choose this way And to Mick Whitehead please tell ALL your team this please that you sort any prob out as you are capt... Cheers Dale

By the way who is lefty I did not say anyone's name in my original post as for the comment about your team that is not our fault ?? As I said every team we have played has been happy to use a phone to time with , you and I mean you are the only person to oppose that and put a downer on the game before it starts .
