We lost 8-4 to Portland. Key moment was at 4-3 down, Shrek potted his final red and landed on the black only to clip the white with his hoody and let Sam in to make it 5-3. Nice dish from Jordan in his first, I think he had only 3 vists total to win his 2 frames, myself and Dave played our usual drawn out frame which I scraped, I believe we're 2-2 now. For hotshots Reuben lost his first and somehow fluked his second , the doctor won both. Good night had, all the best in Div 1.

You guys are a buit early ain't you?
Portland A ain even promoted yet let alone nearly champs!
Although it does look like they will secure pormotion its still not mathematically done, you forget our table is still well out of date (nearly 2months now)
Portland have 18 pts with the Emporer still having 7 games left. They should be on 7 pts which means they can still get to 21.
Oh and Salisbury 7-5 Uni A

Nice try Kerry, we're certainly not counting chickens or resting on laurels though! Has the draw for the plate been done yet? PS are the quarter finals to be played at Mickeys?

Maybe your attitude is right Dave unless Kerry has no faith in his team that is You've still got to play 2nd, 3rd, a 'Derby' game with your B team and the only team to have beaten you all season (and convincingly at that ) As much as you are favs there is still a long way to go before anyone should be conceeding defeat, so i'm glad you guys are keeping that attitude. Look forward to playing you guys in a few weeks, i'm sure it'll be a good night as always.

Yo
The Portland A and Caldecote A are both solid teams. I can't see the Portland not picking up enough points to guarantee promotion even if another team has a good run. The Caldecote are also fairly safe in second spot. They would need to lose to the Portland and another team win every match to get close to them. No other team looks capable of that. Relegation looks a bit more interesting. It could be any two from the other six.

My saying is .... Its never over till its over . I will play my best in each and every frame every week to do my bit for the team . Portland A may be 4 points clear but lets say and we can beat them they only have to loose another week and its all to play for .

Monkey, why should it be two from the remaining six? I know the constitution says that two teams will be relegated from a division. But given that the Jenny Wren were in a relegation spot when they pulled out, then I'm sure all the teams in danger- and i'd hope the other two - would agree that the team who finishes second bottom has every right to say that they would have fulfilled the terms required to avoid relegation, but were denied from doing so through no fault of their own. (Or, at least, that's how I'd feel if the Uni finished second bottom, not that that's going to happen ) Alternatively, you might have to meant say one. If so, I'm very sorry for my overzealousness. Either way, it's bound to go down to the wire...

I agree with dmiley. I don't really mind if we go down or stay up but it would be good to know if two teams are going to be relegated so we all know what were playing for.

In previous seasons the committee have not counted a dropped out team as one of the relegated teams. I see no reason for this to change. As such I would say that two from the remaining six will go down. This is my personal opinion and the decision will only be made at the committee meeting after the season finishes.
