Just wondering how neil won 3-0 and lost 3-0 when he never turned up? In that case, I must have it wrong. I'm sure Garry wrote the names Neil and Kelly on bits of paper for the draw, although I could be mistaken given Garry's handwriting! Mr "One Spin", can you solve the missing person quandary? Billy Mills or Lee Davis? dodgy!! obviously a very sociable venue to play at if people don't even know the names of their opponents?! it's nice to play in these competitions and met new people

Hi Everybody,
Have any of you moaning about the venue/tables actually thought about approching the bar manager Luis or the landlord Dave?
I know for a fact that they are keen for this to become a large part of Cambridges pool scene so im sure they would listen to any requests for better cloth or the heating being turned down!!!
Its the first year that the room upstairs has been used for pool so give the place time to adapt and evolve. You have a lot of good potential out of the place and i reckon a few trophies in you all.....
You dont ask you dont get!!!

The cloth will be fine in a few matches, I went there yesterday and it has sped up a bit since Thursday.
I'm sure the windows would have been open if anyone asked!

I played on the slow cloth at the Emperor and was a little miffed with the quality of the table but it wasn't too bad. The fact of the matter was that we all had the same conditions to play on and I met some good people and played some fun pool. Playing on a cloth that slow really affected my style of play and I wasn't able to adapt quickly enough but I didn't lose because of the table I lost because I didn't play well enough to win. I really like the Emperor as a pub and I know from experience at the Hopbine that it takes time to get used to the CAPL schedule and requirements. When I arrived at the pub the guy behind the bar wasn't aware that there was a competition that night and so wasn't prepared. If they got a decent iron and brush that table could become a little beauty!

Yo. James has all of the results except the Emperor group that Ben Turner won and the Hopbine. Can anyone help with those please?

I know that Pete McGannon beat Chris Jenkins 3-2 in the final at the Hopbine but I don't know about the semis

Snake x well said nath im in the emperor quite a lot so have spoken to both luis and dave but personally i really dont see anything significantly wrong with the table as dan said its sped up a bit and it has no rolls or anything like that dave has put in so much effort to accommodate us and the capl at the emperor and i would defend him and the venue to the hills and back to be honest i cant see myself ever playing out of another venue i love the atmosphere down the emperor its now my second home im there enough for it to be
