think you are the best player in your division?
hows about a competition for each division over a longer format to see who really is the best in each league
What do you think?
you could hold each competition a division at a time at CSC on a saturday or sunday. depending on interest entries could be limited or unlimited.
if interest was sufficiently large each pub could run its own competition down to a final four who then get entered into the final competition at CSC
format should be at least best of five but maybe best of seven or nine again depending on number of people, using a knockout format
entry fees would be needed of course and these would help cover costs of trophies etc. i suggest at least a fiver for each entry
once the winners are determined there could then be a final competition with the winners of each division playing in a knockout competition obviously with handicaps appropriate for each division

sounds like a good idea, could take a bit of planning to get each pub to do it's own knockout THEN go on to another knockout to decide the best for each league but it definatly sounds like something i'd like to have a go at

Excellent idea. I think it would be better to use the same format as the Open and doing away with the pub elimination factor, keeping the event down to a day. Need to find a free Sat/Sun at CSC preferably and each week hold a different divsional competition, maybe hold one on a Saturday and one on a Sunday to keep it down to four weekends.

What about at the end of the season, the player who tops each teams hotshots play each other in a round robin

What about at the end of the season, the player who tops each teams hotshots play each other in a round robin that would initially base things on one frame pool again though!!! lets keep the whole thing to a longer format

sounds like a great idea. it will give some of the lower league players a chance to prove themselves.

MEANING!!!! a lot of the good lower league players get knocked out in the very early stages of the singles event to mostly prem players so if we were to have divisional singles those players would have more chance to shine and win something

hotshots are over one frame
and as you guys (andgirls) at the rosemary branch know if you have a larger squad, squad rotation takes people out of the running for the hotshots
its just an idea need to see what the committee and particularly sarah think
