We lost 5-4 or 6-3 to KSR A. Went 1-0 up before Dom dished Shaun. I had a great chance to dish Mr Savory, but missed a long pot on yellow 6 before he returned the favour with a quality 1 shot clearance. Gaz then unbelievably missed a black over the pocket to make it 2-2. 3-1 to them, and that was the key turning point. They never looked back and stayed ahead throughout. Match aside, our thoughts are with Lee Williams tonight, who missed the game. His newborn young'un is in intensive care at the Rosie after problems at birth. We're all with you mate, and hope everything turns out ok. Matt

Actually the score was 5-1! Is it counted in that way? Wasn't sure mate. We were 5-1 down after the singles. Think we were a bit unlucky really, but the class told in the end. Think Mel had a skinful as she was shouting out stuff through most games, including some lovely stuff towards me when i was down on shots. Cheers for that!

Cam Uni A 5-4 Rosemary Branch A close game, but we just managed to scrape through. We were a bit slow out of the blocks, before we knew it we were 3-1 down but battled back to go 4-3 up. Most of the frames were close and could have gone either way - well played to the Branch, maybe we'll see you in the Prem soon! Sorry to hear the news about Lee, best wishes mate

Camb Uni B 5-2 Cambridge United Supporters' Club
Closer than the score reflects, CUSC had some nervy blacks which we capitalised on. We had some luck but also plenty of knowledge which saw us clear. P.s. - best away table we've played on, plenty of room (Corner House I'm talking to you), no roll, nice cloth.
Good luck Lee, don't know you personally, but I know the midwives at the Rosie are second to none.

I think most of our players got some from her when we were taking shots. I was cueing, and she shouts out "that was a mistake", n "he won't clear these". Not on really. However the better team won on the night. Can't beleive i didn't take mine

corner house 5 romsey lab 4 thanks to a beautiful shot from bob brownlie in the last game great result for the corner house. shame we lost two games mid-frame with the black finding its way in the pocket. Also question the Backers judgement putting our two best players together in the doubles!!! Fully deserved though, and included a few clean frames from the corner house...good luck in the next round. Hope you play Histon B!
