The women won 24-20 very dissapointing for the first match to be 2 players short. Luckily we were able to get Claire from tevesham to step in and she was outstanding!!! winning 3 out of 4 for her first county match deffiffinately women of the match.

2 players short?? That's pretty shocking.
What can be done to improve the numbers?

2 players short?? That's pretty shocking. What can be done to improve the numbers? You could transfer over to their team... ;D Mens B 23 - 21 Bedfordshire. Great performance all round and a very good start from some of the new players. Always tricky getting the first couple of games under your belt. I would praise people by name but when I think about everyone had a blinder in one way or another.

The long and short of it is we need to encourage more women into the game. We also need to encourge Cambridgeshire women to play for the county they live in.

Not talking about Sue Osbourne by any chance?? ;D I would love to see sue play for Cambs but no not specifically as there also the brook girls aswell. I am thinking of organising a county wide womens open see if we can attract a few more women.

That was an important frame. If we didn't win that match I think the season would have been over already. Things are very different now, that we are a new growing team. Nice to see the new players play well. having lost Harrison, Parnell, Goodale, Hope, Rivers, Conlon and more it will be ineresting to see how well this new breed of players do. Team spirit is key... It is a shame that other players like Olding and Roe do not want to play. I don't understand it?? Well done to Stelmagic winning 4/4. The kings are dead... Long live the king....

Myself being the biggest culprit . Great team spirit. Massive result for us considering the poor start. Well done to Terry/Joff/Hat especially holding things together. Paul... Can you show me how you did that in -off ;D Correct 24-20 for the a team good win against a stronger Suffolk team than last years.
