Why does anybody want to do the web site when there is no support for the officers in the first place!
Tonights meeting for a start nobody is bothered about it at all? stand up and be counted who is going to go? Any new rules which any teams want can be discuissed tonight and then voted on but hey"its not in cambridge so i am not going" WTF I know there are some genuine reasons for not attending but if you want a better league put yourself out for once, how often does a meeting happen once maybe twice a season! Have teams got more than 1 player ? YES!! there is at least 10 if not many more so surely a rep from each is possible? What does it matter if its in Peterborough/cambridge/ely or London get off your arses and get there! So any reasons to complain you will only have youself to blame.....
Dale
Paul in the other thread you offered help why dont you represent the team you play for in the inter league at the meeting tonight that certainly would be a help..... psl club at peterborough 7.30 start

As a matter of principle I think that the captains should have to attend, and that it should be part of the team signup conditions. I am offering my services to the web site, cos I can, and I care. Strange that the meeting is in Peterborough when they haven't even enterred a team !!! Simply updating the site wouldn't hurt from time to time would it...

ok fair enough you are not available but what about the other x amount of players.
Why in Peterborough i can not answer that but i shall reason a guess even if it was in St. Neots or Ely then most teams would not attend even then. Before i get shouted down Cambridge is far closer for me than Perterborough but i will attend. Your teams are committed to attend yarmouth so why not committed to attend 1/2 MEETINGS A YEAR be at at Peterborough or else where!!!

However, I cannot speak for my fellow team mates and other teams, but I am sure that they are not even aware of any meeting. Is it published in the team pack ? Cos I only knew about it when you posted earlier. Surely it should in the very least be on the interleague web site .

All captains knew about the meeting 10 days ago at least.

All captains knew about the meeting 10 days ago at least. How did it go - any minutes coming out - do you think they might get placed on the internet ? (not that I'm blaming you at all if they aren't )

Matt said his vote would be proxy! Matt does not use website and there is no obligation to! Matt is not going to peterborough when (as Martin already said) 4/6 teams are in Cambs and Peterborough aren't even in the league.
This (and you) are not making sense!
If the chairman cared (as you put it) , he would come to Cambridge!
And like Paul says.... whats the deal with the website???

Ian, 1, I know Matt vote was proxy but what about the other 10 + players in your team? 2, Where using the web site was ever mentioned? 3, Again where does it matter where the meeting was! 2/3 of the officers are in Peterborough 1 whom is ill and has major family health problems another cant drive very far and these people run the county and inter league in their own time without thanks just to have people say "it ain't on my doorstep i ain't going!" so wether there is 3/4/5/6 teams at 1 town/city there is always going to be some who struggle to make it, and you Ian are 1 of the 1st to complain about anything. 4 The chairman does alot for this county behind the scenes which you know nothing or very little about and to quote "If the chairman cared (as you put it) , he would come to Cambridge" i shall say IF YOU CARED YOU WOULD GO TO PETERBOROUGH TO THE MEETING!!!!!
Again as often you do Ian you post before thinking! PLEASE start engaging your brain....

Interleague updated - the day after the meeting - it seems that the rant must have carried. www.cambspool.org.uk/interres.htmElite back in 4th at the moment - ( but we have played all the tougher matches in the first half - and drew them all. ) - we should be able to pick it up on the next 2 games if we concentrate. (touch redwood) CWMC - 2nd spot so far - not bad - lets see how you fare against Ely and KSR in the last 2 matches of the half - eh ?? an aside: Last match we played - Elite v Ely - 9-9 - Now I just noticed Ely pulled out their big guns just for that match, and it seems that match alone. I would expect Phil and Paul to play a lot more in the second half to secure their Yarmouth slots...!!! Phil Harrison 2 1 1 50.00% Paul Stelmaszuk 2 1 1 50.00%

There are "some" who have slated him and then say how wonderful he is...... Again as often you do Ian you post before thinking! PLEASE start engaging your brain.... ;D 1 it is not a captains vote! each team gets a vote at the meetings so the captain does not need to attend ie Juls attending on behalf of the Fulborne team. 2 The teams were not notified by the web site so again that does not mean jack.. 3 again stand and be counted if you think you can do better stand at the agm in nov. 4 In this amazing world i think most of us work me ol china so remember it is work done out of their own time.. The meeting was an appeal on behalf of KSR Ian not All the best players would play if Ron was not in charge i cant speak for all of them but its less than you think... I agree there are things i dont agree with in things that Ron does however i do know how much work he puts in. However if anybody thinks they could do better stand up and be counted at the agm in November/December or if you can help then there is the place to offer not on a website which has nothing in connection with the county set-up. but, i guess you wont go unless the meeting is on your own door step........ chicken, egg syndrome again....

1. that is news to us 2. fine but the website isn't kept up to date. 3. The last time I was asked to be "counted" I was shafted by my County captain (remember?) besides Pool isn't that important to me anymore. 4. If you want to be an organiser, you must go the whole 9 yards.
your last comments: I wouldn't do it for the reasons I have critisized this meeting about. I can't commit the time and the effort. If someone wants the job and can spend the time, then I will vote for them (if given a vote). I cannot critisize Ron because his effforts are excellent. Going to a meeting in Peterborough is all this is about and I (and many others) feel it is wrong. You disagree and we will agree to disagree.
Now, where is that River?

In fact Ron is "too" efficient. Hence why a Cambs side will never win an Interleague cup.

1 it has always been that but ok
2 I agree but on the inter league side it was waiting till after the meeting so there is only 1 version.
3 The last time you stood up and be counted to say the least you went the wrong way as you said " all the players did not want to be there " and "if we move player xyz will possibly play again " and i still have pm "if we play in there ill play for the B team" stand and be counted i think that was awesome!!!!
4 i agree about the whole 9 yards but remember it is AN UNPAID POSITION THEY ARE NOT PAID 20K YEAR FFS
5 again i can understand 100% where you are coming from but even if the meeting was in the middle for all ie St Neots or Ely you still would not be there
