Fulbourn 10-8 CWMC
Well done tonight everyone, a good result for us. Workies wern't taking it very seriously but it was still a good chance for us to test ourselves against good quality opposition.
Well done to Jordan, Adam Mortimer, Pud and Matt Whalley who all got 2/2 tonight and thanks for turning up everyone.

Cheers for the game lads Apologies to any Fulbourn lads (pud/matt in the last especially) who thought i or the team wasn't playing seriously enough or taking the piss etc....was only a friendly, we were out for the night and had a few jars and just wanted a good time. Come the proper season we'll be knuckled down as if it were a thursday. I think you can tell that as we finished 3rd in the prem we're a damn good team when we all get down to business. Look forward to the games down our place and the institute, great venuw to play pool. Matt

Think Matt summed it up. No we weren't taking it seriously, and there were quite a few "silly" shots where the game was won, n we blasted the black n missed Either way it gave Fulbourn a go at the different format, and a few games of pool. Not sure the £1 a square on the footie card will take off tho Dont think you'll get £40 on the card out of most teams!! hhhmmmm where did the £20 go for the food

thanks Matt, its appreciated. I know it was a friendly, but I think there was too much pissing about on the table. In my eyes a friendly is a good laugh and less serious off the table but the competitiveness should still remain on the table...its only 10 minutes of concentration of a night which goes on for 4 hours. Hell, I can just smash balls with mates at the CSC.
As for the way I play...of course I can hear you take the piss of the amounts I chalk my cue and concentrate on each shot...so what, is it too hard to comprehend the way I play?
I thought it was poor sportsmanship from alot of the CWMC players

Nah not at all matey, like i said we were just having a laugh. The amount of abuse that flies round between our team is quite shocking really , unfortunately sometimes it just strays out further. No offence intended. Play the way you like, if it works then its all good. If it ain't broke don't fix it and all that. Still won you the game eh ;D We just seem to struggle a bit when we aren't playing for anything. All our friendlies went that way last season, we're **** in the cup too, and our last games of the thursday league were pretty similar with some low percentage shots attempted. You'll see the real us in the game proper Matt

I know the CWMC can play better, like you said you prooved yourself indefinitely in the Premier. Banter is good but theres a limit. I just hope it doesnt happen against anyone in the league.
Good Luck for the Superleague season anyway. Youve got a bloody talented team
