I'm getting increasingly frustrated at my bad luck of late including today.
Was very happy with the draw considering we were 2-9 down.
Well done to Simon and Nicky, solid as ever and especially to Jof 4/4.
A great team effort.
I mentioned it was great to see Mick Conlon back before the match, who is a huge character builder and it turned ot to be so. I don't think we are the same without him?
I feel mick played a massive part in our win with his zeal ad encouragement.
come on "A" team, lets get some real support going? phil will be back next time, so lets kick some arse

Good debut from Jay Willis, more to come from him I feel. Orrible, I was about 15 yards away and I heard that kick. Absolute shocker. I feel that 2 big absentees, obviously Phil, but Paul Stel as well, would have been the difference had they been able to play. I've always said that big players are worth more to a team than just the frames they win. Good draw to get from 9-2 and 19-13 down, but we should be beating these sort of teams and cannot have any aspirations of winning the nationals until we are performing better locally. One more thing, can we try to make sure in future that EVERYBODY has either arrived at the venue before 12 or has phoned Dale on the day to say they will be there. This way Dale knows by 12 o'clock, which is the time the teamsheets have to be in, which players he has available and can pick his strongest side accordingly. There was a bit of confusion yesterday, and without intentionally knocking anyone here, it isn't Dale's responsibility to phone everyone to see if they are playing. If you want to play for your county, make sure he knows you are making yourself available!!

The County 'A' team should club together and buy Paul a set of oven mitts for his next birthday

If you want to play for your county, make sure he knows you are making yourself available!! The teamsheets have to be in by 12? I always figured it was like a league match, the captains fill in the sheets just before the match starts and hand them to each other. Dunno how I've managed to play county for over a year and not figure that out before! I'm turning over a new leaf in that case, I'll be there by 12 from now on...

A great fight back from the death by the A Team - it is important now that we build on it and start stuffing teams from the off. We are too often slow starters!

A great fight back from the death by the A Team - it is important now that we build on it and start stuffing teams from the off. We are too often slow starters! Very true, the one match recently where we did get off to a good start (last month against Hertfordshire), we absolutely stuffed them! After going 9-2 down our top order quickly reduced the deficit to 3-4 frames, but I think we went pretty much frame-for-frame after that, until the final leg. I dunno what the exact scores were, but I'm sure we were still at least 4 frames down going into the final leg, so we must have won most of the frames at the end. Good team spirit, definitely helped by Mick as mentioned before
