We have. The tables were shocking in luton. Very pleased that we bounced back from that stupid defeat. I got 2/4 which I was very dis-appointed with >:(but the result is what counts. Therefore I am happy! A particular mention should go out to flawless displays from Nicky Parnell & Simon Rivers who showed us all how you play County Pool winning 4/4 each. HOWEVER. I was shocked how the team disappeared when we got to 23 frames. The support was lacking yesterday and needs to be addressed. Hopefully our Captain will have words?

I think that if it were possible to lay out the venue differently for county, then players would be more inclined to stick around. Certainly for the County 'B' team, there wasn't enough room to stand and watch without being in the way.
But is there really any venue that can house 100+ people, food, drinks, and 8 tables comfortably.
As a newbie, I am a bit stunned by the county format. It's clearly too many people and goes on for too long in my view.
Would it not be better to stagger the start times and play each team on 4 tables instead.
That way people wouldn't have to stay around so long, and it would be less packed.
For example
11:00 - 14:00 - mens A & youth 14:00 - 17:00 - ladies & mens B
or something similar.
Either that or the mens A & B teams could play at home on the same day the ladies & youth teams play away. That would effectively split the load.
Has any of this been done or suggested in the past?

I see Dale has mastered the copy & paste.
Surely Nicky or Simon should have got MoM?

(...) As a newbie, I am a bit stunned by the county format. It's clearly too many people and goes on for too long in my view. (...) I see your point, it is quite unlike any of the other matches that you'll play in (at least in my experience). I like the current format though - yes, you do have to wait around for a long time to play, but I think that adds to the excitement. Having matches on more tables would mean there were fewer players standing around to cheer you on as you play your frame. Personally I enjoy the cheer that goes up when you sink a difficult black! Also, staggered start times would probably only complicate things - players from different teams on the 'away' county will most likely arrange travel together (for example, Kate and I will be travelling together to away matches), so wouldn't be able to head off early / turn up late if the other person was still playing.

That's fair enough - However, Kate would be no worse off having to wait around all day in either systems.

I don't think someone who gets 4/4 should automatically get MotM!
When do the regional rankings get updated?
